Bowcombe Boathouse

This is the idyllic waterside retreat you’ve dreamed of, with a lived-in feel and a natural collection of art that instantly puts you at ease.

Within minutes, you’ll be barefoot on the balcony, sipping local gin from the well-stocked dresser. The kitchen, arranged around a big mahogany island, is perfect for cooking a great meal before relaxing by the wood burner. If you don’t feel like cooking, kayak to Kingsbridge just minutes away.

Once home to a handmade Salcombe Yawl, the Boathouse has been restored with boat-builders' materials—dark teak, aged brass—and furnished with bespoke pieces and crumpled linens.

It’s a fantastic spot to relax, watch the estuary (even from the shower!), or explore wild Dartmoor and the beautiful Devon coastline.
